An authentic BIMCO contract is generated by SmartCon or a BIMCO-approved system. If your contract is not generated by SmartCon, please contact the secretariat (contracts@bimco.org) to verify the origin. FONASBA adopts regular agreements, contracts and advice. Given that the offshore industry is currently facing a number of challenges, it is important to ensure that the contracts it needs remain relevant and current. BIMCO is currently working on five offshore projects. The update of our towing contracts – TOWCON and TOWHIRE – is underway with an update of BARGEHIRE. A new time charter contract for accommodation vessels is also in the process of being concluded, while SUPPLYTIME will receive a new „special order“ in 2017, following the completion of construction work on an annex for the operation of the crane. All of these new documents are expected to be published in 2021. All of BIMCO`s most popular charter parties, bill of lading and other standard agreements are available in an electronic format with BIMCos` online pay-as you-go-party party processing system. Aaa and GAA should now replace existing agency agreements in their day-to-day use, but they will remain available for the foreseeable future as they have specific needs.
Another important project to be discussed at the meeting is the first audit of a brand new BIMCO ship sales contract. The typical forms of S-P agreements have not changed much in recent decades. BIMCO`s new S-P agreement will counter this trend with an innovative and modern approach. Once the DC has decided on the first project, it will be open to industry consultation. It is expected to be published in 2021. FONASBA / ITIC ISPS Code Clause A clause of inclusion in agency contracts that defines and limits the agent`s liability for the transmission of ISPS compliance information between the vessel and the coastal authorities. Developed in collaboration with ITIC. The latest entry in the agency`s nomination documents (December 2017) is the Agency`s Appointment Agreement, which is designed for longer-term agency agreements than AAAs (see below) or that cover a wider range of ports.
